Quote it per pane

Your price book holds your pane types and rates. Add a line for each, type the count, and tap the surcharges you've named yourself, like a ladder for the upstairs windows.

Book it in once

Set how often a customer comes and the visits fill the calendar. Shops you do together go on one run, in your order, and a shop can come every run or every 2nd or 3rd run. Step through the months to see it. On a phone, pick a day from the strip, as in the app.

The calendar fills in for today's date, so it needs JavaScript.

Do the visit from your phone

The address, the access and parking notes and the hazards are on the job card. Start your time when you arrive, tick the checklist as you go, and complete the job. Its draft invoice is raised for you.

The clock here runs a minute every half second, so you can watch the rounding.

Pay your workers what they worked

Workers log their time against each visit, and you check it here. Correct a time before you approve it; once approved it's final. Pay is by the hour, or a share of the invoice, and payable time is rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.

How they are paid

Sam Sample's $32.00 an hour and 40% of the invoice are example figures.

Made for window cleaning

  • Price per pane from your price book, with surcharges you name yourself, like Ladder or Roof. More than one can go on the same line.
  • Runs: shops along a street done together, in the stop order you set. Each stop comes every run, every 2nd run or every 3rd run.
  • Weekly, fortnightly, every 4 weeks, every so many weeks, or monthly (on a date or on a weekday), up to every 24 months.
  • For customers who like to be asked first, a "due for a clean" email that you check and send. They tap "Book it" or "Not this time".
  • The job card shows the property's access, parking and hazard notes.
  • Documents such as a scratch waiver can be sent to and signed by customers. The job card shows whether it is signed.

Your workers

Once you've added a worker's email, they sign in with Google, Microsoft or an emailed code. They see only their own jobs and time, and their pay, marked not final until you approve it. You pay them by the hour or as a share of the invoice, with time on site rounded to 15 minutes. There's no extra cost per worker.

Built by a window cleaner

We're Clare Valley Window Cleaning, a working window-cleaning business in South Australia's Clare Valley. We built PanePilot for our own round, and we run on it.

That's why it prices per pane and books shops together as a run. PanePilot is made by Walking Kangaroo.

Questions

Where is my data kept?

In Australia. The app, the database, your files and the backups are in Microsoft's Australia East region, and each business is kept separate in the database itself. Sign-in and address lookup go through Microsoft and Google, which may handle your email address, or an address being looked up, outside Australia.

Can I bring my customers from my current software or a spreadsheet?

Yes. Export them as a CSV file and bring them in. You match the columns and check every row before anything's saved.

Do my workers pay?

No. There's no extra cost per worker, and they sign in free.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in your phone's browser, and it's on Google Play for Android phones. It's coming soon to Apple's App Store.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel online any time, from your subscription page.

What happens to my data if I stop?

If your trial or subscription lapses, your business locks rather than being deleted. You can still sign in and download your data as CSV, and subscribing again unlocks it as it was. Our terms say what happens to a lapsed business's data after 90 days.
